The Galapagos Islands are located in the Pacific Ocean, about 1000 km from the coast of Ecuador. A Cruise would be the best way to explore many of the islands in a short period of time. A diving tour allows you to get know the far away islands like Darwin and Wolf. You will always be accompanied with a naturalist guide who teaches you about the geology, the Flora and Fauna and of course about the unique history of every island.

The duration of those cruises is from 4, 5 and 8 days. There are many yachts and boats which offer cruises on the islands from motor yachts and sailing yachts with only 8 passengers until big luxury cruises with a capacity of 100 passengers.

Most of the vessels provide snorkel equipment and kayaks; some of them also offer diving. On the Galapagos Island we divide 4 different classes of boats and yachts regarding to the service they offer, the education of the staff, the gastronomic offer, the equipment and service on board,: Economy class, Tourist class, first class and luxury class.

Economy class:

Small yachts (8 to 16 passengers with basic equipment, reduced space on board, cabins with bunk bed, not much variation on food. Limited speed, long time navigation, limited itineraries.

Tourist class:

Better equipped yachts (10 to 18 passengers), more space on board, toilets and showers in the cabins, social areas, some of them offer air conditioning. Service and itineraries are in better than on economy class, naturalist guide class II with knowledge of another language than Spanish (English). Some also offer diving.

First class:

First class yachts and boats offer extended itineraries around the islands, comply international standards of maritime security, bigger cabins, hot and cold water, air conditioning, big choice of buffet food and a selection of beverage on the bar. Naturalist guide class III (highest category in Galapagos), specialized biologist with profound knowledge about the flora and fauna of Galapagos, they know two or three foreign language. Kayak and snorkel equipment available.

Luxury class:

Not many yachts and boats in Galapagos offer this service. Comfortable and elegant cabins, first class service, professional equipment, best itineraries in Galapagos, satellite communication, video, souvenir stands, Jacuzzi, big choice of buffet food and a selection of beverage on the bar, Minibar in the cabin, air conditioning etc.
